Locally, I’m trying out the ‘RecentNotes’-plugin from Quartz. I think I’d like it to go into the right-hand menu column, beneath the Graph View and the Table of Contents. Something like this:

Would be great!

It’s not easy, but I’m learning how to think through and handle secrets in a Docker context. In my previous Zola-powered static website, I had some problems finding a theme and configuring it correctly to have it show Mermaid-diagrams and -workflows. Fortunately, this is baked into Quartz, so now when I need to think through an interconnected problem (like secrets handling), I can whip up a workflow and get my idea into a workable picture.

I am getting used to journaling with org-roam, I’ve managed to setup a container registry for my Gitlab (albeit with some errors I still need to fix) and am getting used to posting notes here (for example my study notes for my Azure AZ-104-certification.

For a while I’ve been journaling, mainly for work, and I really like the idea: one file, some brief notes per day of what I’ve worked on, what I learned, what didn’t work. Because my job is currently split in basically three jobs (main job and two longterm projects), I have spent more time on finding my personal Getting Things Done-approach. This resulted in me switching to emacs (with vim motions of course!), starting with a similar setup of per-project statusfiles in Markdown and finally into daily org-roam notes that link to other notes. What stuck through these changes was the journaling: now my ‘dailies’ house my todos (which apparently isn’t a Getting Things Done approach to todo lists) and a journal entry per project. I basically don’t have to remember anything I did as soon as I write it down, which gives me more space to think on a current task or issue. I haven’t found the time and need yet to do this for my personal work, so maybe this journal will help get things going. To kick it off, here’s what I did today:
- Got up a first (incomplete) draft for an internal job application that sounds awesome and technical (more later hopefully)
- Thought about buying a Charachorder (seriously, look at this thing!
- Read a tiny bit more of security-Evading EDR.
